How it works

From the first message to the real Namibia.

Organizing a trip to Namibia requires more than just a beautiful itinerary on paper. It requires time, sustainable stages, logistics, reliable partners, and local support once the trip truly begins.

This is how Redland works: we listen to your idea, assess what makes sense, build a concrete proposal, and support you during the key phases of your trip, with welcome and on-site assistance in Italian when provided.

Let's not start with the package. Let's start with the journey that makes sense for you.

Namibia is vast, beautiful, and unforgiving of poorly planned itineraries. Distances are great, roads demand attention, seasons change the experience, and every choice (where to sleep, how much to drive, when to depart, what to include, and what to leave out) impacts the final outcome.

This is why Redland does not work with a rigid catalogue logic. We can organise guided tours, full tours, private trips, tailor-made itineraries or specialised experiences, always starting from three simple questions:

  • who is travelling;
  • how much time they have;
  • what kind of Namibia they want to experience.

The rest is built with method, on-the-ground presence and a little bit of healthy realism. Which in the desert is worth more than a thousand special effects.

How we build the journey
1. Tell us about your idea

The first step is simple: you tell us what you have in mind. It could be a guided visit, an organized tour, a tailor-made trip, or even just a vague idea.

We need some basic information: period, duration, number of people, travel style, interests, desired comfort level, and any stops you have already imagined.

2. We assess feasibility and pace

Not everything that looks perfect on a map actually works out on the ground. We analyze distances, travel times, season, road conditions, pace of travel, and the real value of each stop.

The goal isn't to fill the schedule. It's to build a trip that can be truly enjoyed.

3. We offer you the most suitable solution

Based on your request, we will guide you towards the most suitable solution:

  • guided tour in Italian;
  • organized tour;
  • tailor-made private trip;
  • small group;
  • specialized experience;
  • on-site welcome and assistance;
  • support for an existing itinerary.
4. Let's draw up a concrete proposal

We will prepare a proposal including itinerary, travel formula, possible services, experiences, level of assistance, timings, and next steps.

The proposal must be clear: what is included, what is not included, which parts are confirmed, which depend on availability, and which elements can be adapted.

5. We coordinate the organization and local partners

Once the proposal is confirmed, we work on the operational aspects: logistics, activities, any guided days, local partners, communications, practical details, and trip preparation.

This is where our local presence comes into play: we don't just send a program from afar; we work with local businesses and contacts.

6. We prepare you for departure

Before your trip, we help you clarify practical aspects: documents, pace, luggage, driving, roads, safety, payments, communications, responsible behavior, and useful tips.

There's no need to make you leave with the anxiety of a polar expedition. The goal is to make you leave informed.

7. Benvenuti in Namibia

When foreseen, we organize a welcome upon arrival: reception, initial briefing, program explanation, practical orientation, and support in Italian.

It's the moment when the trip stops being a series of emails and becomes real.

8. On-site assistance

During the trip, depending on the chosen package, you can have a local contact for questions, communications, unforeseen events, coordination, and practical support.

Namibia remains vast, wild, and at times unpredictable. Our job is not to tame it, but to help you navigate it with greater clarity.

What to expect from Redland

Organization, Presence and Clarity

Small numbers

Redland works with small groups, couples, families, or private groups. The format remains human because the quality of the experience also depends on how much space there is to listen, adapt, and interpret the area.

Rhythm

In Namibia, it's not a good idea to rush. Distances are part of the journey, not an inconvenience to be minimized. We create itineraries that consider transfers, breaks, daylight, roads, and realistic timings.

Comfort

The trip can include lodges, guesthouses, selected campsites, or mixed accommodation. We don't chase sterile luxury, but neither do we seek uncomfortable adventure at all costs. The point is to find the right comfort level for the type of experience.

Assistance in Italian

Italian language support reduces distance, doubts and misunderstandings. It is useful before departure, upon arrival and during the operational phases of the trip.

Presence on site

Redland was not born as a distant catalogue. The advantage is having a real reference in Namibia, with local knowledge, partners on the ground, and the ability to orient the trip where needed.

Non-standardized experiences

Not everything has to be complicatedly "tailor-made." But every proposal must make sense: for the period, for the people, for the budget, for the pace, and for the way you want to experience Namibia.

What not to expect

We are not a package vending machine.

To be clear: Redland isn’t the right fit for everyone.
And that’s okay.

We are not suitable for those looking for:
  • the lowest price regardless;
  • a standard package with no dialogue;
  • a race to see “everything” in a few days;
  • coach tourism or an impersonal itinerary;
  • experiences built as attractions to be consumed;
  • spectacular promises that don't hold up on the ground.

We prefer to build more honest, leaner proposals when necessary, but truly liveable ones. There's no need to create a spectacle: Namibia already is one.

On-site welcome and assistance

We don't just deliver an itinerary. We stand by your side.

Many trips are sold before departure and then left to the traveler. With Redland, when provided by the chosen package, you can also have support in Namibia.

Welcome upon arrival

A moment of welcome and orientation to clarify the program, stages, timings, practical tips, communications, and useful details.

Initial briefing

A practical explanation of the trip: what to expect, how to manage distances, how to approach the stages, what precautions to take, and how to move with greater confidence.

Practical support

During the trip, we can assist with communications, doubts, directions, local partners, and minor operational needs.

Italian-speaking reference

Knowing you can speak with someone who understands your language and your way of traveling can make a big difference, especially in such a vast country.

Who follows the process

Two references between Italy and Namibia

Mia: Italian-speaking local guide and on-site organization

Mia is Redland's local reference in Namibia. She knows the area, handles the organizational aspects, and can accompany visits, tours, and experiences in Italian.

Emanuele: Italian reference and escort

Emanuele is the bridge between those departing from Italy and the travellers, managing the relationship with the latter and, where foreseen, coordinating the group as the Italian contact person on the ground.

Together, they combine local knowledge and Italian sensibility: the trip is built with more care beforehand and followed with more presence during.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I contact you even if I don't have an itinerary yet?

Yes. You can contact us even with an open idea: period, duration, number of people and travel style are already a great starting point.

Do you only organize complete trips?

No. We can take care of complete tours, tailor-made trips, guided visits, specialized experiences, welcome services, on-site assistance or support for individual stages.

How much time in advance should we contact you?

As soon as possible, especially during periods of high demand. Namibia has limited availability in many areas and the distances require planning. Having said that, we can also consider requests closer to the departure date.

Is the welcome in Namibia always included?

It depends on the chosen formula. It can be included or added to the proposal, especially for trips organized by Redland or for routes that require initial orientation.

Is on-site assistance available throughout the trip?

It depends on the type of service agreed upon. We can provide different levels of support: initial briefing, assistance during some phases, accompaniment, or operational on-site reference.

Can I take a self-guided trip but with Redland support?

Yes. We can help you create a hybrid formula: self-guided travel, but with a welcome, briefing, on-site assistance, or guided days in Italian.

Create proposals for couples and families?

Yes. We also work with couples, families, and small private groups, building the trip according to their pace, comfort, duration, and specific needs.

After the request, do I immediately receive a price?

Not always immediately. First, we assess feasibility, duration, people, period, comfort level, and required services. Then we can build a clear and coherent proposal.
