Do you only organize group trips?

Can I travel independently and still have Redland assistance?
Yes. We can build hybrid formulas: autonomous self-drive with welcome, briefing, guided days or on-site assistance.
It is an interesting solution for those who want freedom, but don't want to feel completely alone in the practical part of the trip.
Are the visits and tours in Italian?
Yes. Redland works vertically on the Italian market.
Mia is a local guide italofona, while Emanuele can join the group as an Italian reference and companion, when provided by the formula of the trip.

Is Mia an Italian guide?
No. Mia is a local guide Namibian who speaks Italian.

Does Emanuele accompany the trips?
Yes, when required by the chosen formula, Emanuele can accompany the trip as an Italian reference and companion.
Its role is to facilitate communication with the group, to coordinate some passages and to create a bridge between those who leave Italy and experience on the field.
Will you always be present throughout the trip?
It depends on the type of proposal.
We can be present during guided tours, accompanied tours, welcomes, briefings, some specific days or on-site assistance. The presence level is defined before the confirmation.
What can we organize
Groups, individuals, families and couples
How many people are there in the groups?
We work with small numbers, normally up to 10/12 people when it comes to groups.
Our goal is not to fill buses, but to build more refined, readable and human experiences.
Do you organize private trips for couples?
Yes.
We can create private trips for couples, with personalized itinerary, possible guided days, welcome and on-site assistance in Italian.
Are tailor-made trips suitable for families?
Yes.
For families we work with particular attention to pace, distances, safety, comfort and realistic times.
In Namibia, too long a stage can turn the journey into a reality show about family survival. Better think about it first.
Can we organize a trip for an already formed group?
Yes.
If you are a group of friends, an extended family, a small private group or an agency with already defined clients, we can build a dedicated proposal.
Itinerary and logistics
It depends on what you want to see and what pace you want to have.
For a first trip, often 10/12 days allow a good introduction, while 14/15 days they give more breathing space and they allow you to better experience stages such as the Namib, coast, Damaraland and Etosha.
The important thing is not to reason only in kilometers. In Namibia there are distances, roads, light, breaks, season and quality of experience.
Can you organize 10, 12 or 15 day itineraries?
Yes. We can build itineraries of different durations, based on the time available and travel priorities.
A short itinerary requires more selection. A long itinerary allows more depth. Both can work, if designed with criterion.
Which areas of Namibia can you include?
We can evaluate itineraries including Windhoek, Namib Desert, Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, Spitzkoppe, Damaraland, Etosha and other areas based on the period, duration and type of experience required.
Not every area makes sense on every trip. Namibia is generous, but it doesn't all go into a program without protest.
Is it possible to include specialized experiences?
Yes. We can integrate experiences related to photography, wildlife, conservation, outdoor, desert, 4x4, landscape or projects with local partners.
These experiences can become the heart of the journey or be included in a broader itinerary.
LODGES & CAMPING
What type of accommodations do you offer?
It depends on the formula and budget.
We can evaluate lodges, guesthouses, camping selected, mixed solutions or more essential formulas. The choice is made according to the type of travel, the level of comfort desired, the availability and consistency of the itinerary.
Is the trip comfortable or adventurous?
It can be both, if built well.
Namibia requires a spirit of adaptation, but it doesn't necessarily mean uncomfortable travel. Redland seeks a balance between authentic experience, sensible logistics and calibrated comfort.
We don't sell luxury via social media. Let's not pass off discomfort as spiritual depth.
Do you have to be very sporty?
Not necessarily.
It depends on the activities entered. Many trips can be experienced without particular physical preparation, provided there is availability to address distances, climate, roads and rhythms other than European ones.
If more demanding activities are planned, we indicate this in the proposal.
Costs, estimates and inclusions
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
How much does a trip to Namibia cost?
It depends on duration, period, number of people, comfort level, activities included, transportation, possible guide/accompaniment and kind of assistance required.
This makes no sense to give a generic figure without first understanding what trip we are building: a self-drive with welcome, a private tour, a guided tour and a tailor-made trip are not the same. They change logistics, presence in the field, assistance, partners involved and level of customization.
After the first contact we can prepare a clear proposal, with a consistent estimate and defined services.
Why don't you always publish a fixed price?
Because Redland doesn't just sell a standard package.
Guided tours, private tours, tailor-made trips, welcome e on-site assistance they can vary greatly based on request, period, logistics and level of support.
Having said that, There may also be fixed price formulas: special packages, launch experiences or proposals designed for development projects of the REDLAND project.
So are there fixed price packages?
Yes, they can exist.
In some cases Redland can offer packages with fixed or indicative price: for example guided tours, specific experiences, welcome formulas, pilot departures or special proposals related to the launch of the site.
These packages also serve to give a first point of reference to travellers: they help to understand cost range, type of service and level of experience.
For more personalized trips, however, the price is built on the actual request.
What is included in the proposal?
It depends on the service requested.
Each proposal will clearly specify:
- what is included;
- what is not included;
- which services are confirmed;
- which services depend on availability;
- what level of assistance is provided;
- any payment and cancellation conditions.
Clarity is not optional. It's part of the service.
Are international flights included?
International flights are generally not included, unless specific agreements are made.
However, we can help you think about dates, arrival and departure and consistency of the itinerary with respect to the flights.
Safety and reliability
Namibia is one of the most popular African destinations for natural travel, on the road and self-drive, but requires planning, attention and respect for distances.
Safety does not mean total absence of risk. It means preparation, common sense, realistic itinerary, clear information and adequate support.
Is Redland Tours a registered company?
Yes. Redland operates with presence in Namibia and registered structure. Corporate references and documentation can be shared during the proposed phase, when necessary.

Do you have First Aid, PDP and driving training?
Yes, among the operational credentials considered important to Redland there are First Aid, PDP / Professional Driving Permit and NATH Level 4 training linked to the tourist guide in Namibia.
If a certification or training is still in completion, it must be communicated transparently. Better a clean truth than a bad inflated promise.
Do I need to get travel insurance?
Yes, we always recommend a complete travel insurance, with medical coverage, possible medical repatriation, cancellation/ travel interruption, luggage and planned activities.
Specific coverage may be required for some trips or activities.
Self-drive, roads and driving
Can I self-drive in Namibia?
Yes, Namibia is a very self-drive destination, but requires attention: long distances, dirt roads, animals, climate, remote areas and correct time management.

Do you necessarily need 4x4?
It depends on the itinerary.
Many routes can be traveled with vehicles suitable for dirt roads, but some areas, Specific tracks or conditions make 4x4 strongly recommended or necessary.
The choice of vehicle should be made based on the route, not for adventure aesthetics.
Can you help us prepare for driving in Namibia?
Yes. We can include a practical briefing on roads, distances, fuel, times, driving behaviour, animals, safety and general organization.
