Do you only organize group tours?

No. Group tours are just one of the options.

Redland can organize guided tours, private tours, tailor-made trips, specialized experiences and local support for couples, families, small pre-formed groups, or travelers building their own itinerary.

The point is not to force you into a group. The point is to understand which formula makes the most sense for your trip to Namibia.

Redland Services

What can Redland Tours organize?
Redland can help you with different formulas:
  • guided tours in Namibia in Italian;
  • complete organized tours;
  • tailor-made private trips;
  • small Italian groups;
  • specialized or niche tours;
  • welcome upon arrival in Namibia;
  • practical briefing before the road trip;
  • on-site assistance;
  • experiences with local partners.

Each proposal is built based on period, duration, number of people, interests, comfort level, and type of support desired.

What's the difference between guided tours, organized tours, and tailor-made trips?

Redland can help you with different formulas:

Guided visits are experiences, excursions, or guided days in Italian, also useful for those already in Namibia or traveling independently.

Organized tours are more structured trips, with an itinerary, logistics, activities, local partners, welcome, and on-site assistance when provided.

Tailor-made trips are private proposals built around couples, families, or small pre-formed groups, with a higher level of personalization.

Specialized tours are niche experiences: photography, wildlife, conservation, outdoor, desert, 4x4, or projects with local partners.

Can you organize our entire trip to Namibia?

Yes. We can handle the organization of the trip like a tour operator: itinerary, stages, logistics, activities, local partners, and operational support.

The difference is that Redland doesn't only work "remotely": we can provide welcomes, briefings, and on-site assistance in Italian, depending on the chosen formula.

Can you still help us even if we already have an itinerary?

Yes. We can evaluate an existing itinerary and help you understand if it is realistic, sustainable, and consistent with the time available.

We can also add guided days, welcomes, briefings, on-site assistance, or experiences with local partners.

Sometimes the best work is not starting from scratch. It's removing errors before they become wasted miles.

What does welcome mean in Namibia?

On-site welcome and assistance

The welcome is a moment of reception and orientation upon arrival.

It may include an initial briefing, explanation of the program, practical advice, clarification of stages, support in Italian, and useful information to start the trip with greater confidence.

It is particularly useful for those arriving from Italy and who want to start their journey with a clear point of reference on site.

Is the welcome always included?

No, it depends on the chosen formula.

It can be included in trips organized by Redland or added as a specific service. In any case, it is always clearly indicated in the proposal.

Do you offer on-site support during the trip?

Yes, depending on the type of trip and the agreed level of support.

On-site assistance may include orientation, communication with local partners, practical support, itinerary clarifications, management of minor unforeseen events, or Italian language assistance during certain phases of the trip.

It is not a magic formula against all unforeseen events. It is something more serious: a real point of contact in the country you are traveling in.

Can I travel independently and still have Redland assistance?

Yes. We can create hybrid formulas: self-drive tours with a welcome, briefing, guided days, or on-site assistance.

It's an interesting solution for those who want freedom but don't want to feel completely alone when it comes to the practical aspects of the trip.

Guide, language, and support
Are the visits and tours in Italian?

Yes. Redland works vertically on the Italian market.

Mia is a local Italian-speaking guide, while Emanuele can accompany the group as an Italian reference and escort, when provided for by the travel package.

Italian support is one of our main strengths.

Is Mia an Italian guide?

No. Mia is a Namibian local guide who speaks Italian.

And this is precisely her value: she knows the territory from the inside and can accompany Italian travelers in their own language.

Does Emanuele lead tours?

Yes, as stipulated by the chosen package, Emanuele can join the trip as an Italian reference and chaperone.

His role is to facilitate communication within the group, coordinate certain steps, and bridge the gap between those departing from Italy and the on-the-ground experience.

Will you always be present throughout the journey?

It depends on the type of proposal.

We can be present during guided tours, escorted tours, welcomes, briefings, specific days, or on-site assistance. The level of presence is defined before confirmation.

What we can organize

Groups, Individuals, Families, and Couples

How many people are in the groups?

We work with small numbers, usually up to 10/12 people when it comes to groups.

Our goal is not to fill buses, but to create more refined, understandable, and humane experiences.

Do you organize private trips for couples?

Yes.

We can create private tours for couples, with a personalized itinerary, optional guided days, and welcome and assistance on site in Italian.

Are tailor-made trips suitable for families?

Yes.

For families, we focus particularly on pace, distances, safety, comfort, and realistic timings.

In Namibia, a stage that is too long can turn the trip into a family survival reality show. It's better to think about it beforehand.

Can we arrange a trip for an already formed group?

Yes.

If you are a group of friends, an extended family, a small private group, or an agency with pre-defined clients, we can create a tailored proposal.

Itinerary and logistics

How long does it take to visit Namibia?

It depends on what you want to see and at what pace you want to travel.

For a first trip, 10-12 days are often enough for a good introduction, while 14-15 days allow for more breathing room and better enjoyment of stages such as Namib, the coast, Damaraland, and Etosha.

The important thing is not to think only in terms of kilometers. In Namibia, distances, roads, daylight, breaks, the season, and the quality of the experience all matter.

Can you arrange 10, 12, or 15-day itineraries?

Yes. We can create itineraries of varying lengths, depending on available time and travel priorities.

A short itinerary requires more selectivity. A longer itinerary allows for more in-depth exploration. Both can work, if designed thoughtfully.

Which areas of Namibia can you include?

We can consider itineraries that include Windhoek, Namib Desert, Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, Spitzkoppe, Damaraland, Etosha, and other areas based on the time of year, duration, and type of experience requested.

Not all areas make sense on every trip. Namibia is generous, but it won't all fit into a single itinerary without protest.

Is it possible to include specialized experience?

Yes. We can integrate experiences related to photography, wildlife, conservation, outdoors, desert, 4x4, landscape or projects with local partners.

These experiences can become the core of the trip or be included within a wider itinerary.

LODGES & CAMPING

Comfort, accommodation and travel style

What type of accommodation do you offer?

It depends on the formula and the budget.

We can consider lodges, guesthouses, selected campsites, mixed solutions, or more essential options. The choice is made based on the type of trip, the desired comfort level, availability, and the consistency of the itinerary.

Is the trip comfortable or adventurous?

It can be both, if planned well.

Namibia requires adaptability, but that doesn't necessarily mean uncomfortable travel. Redland seeks a balance between an authentic experience, sensible logistics, and calibrated comfort.

We don't sell luxury for social media. We don't mistake discomfort for spiritual depth.

Do you need to be very fit?

Not necessarily.

It depends on the activities included. Many trips can be enjoyed without any specific physical preparation, as long as you are willing to deal with distances, climate, roads and paces different from those in Europe.

If more challenging activities are planned, we will state this in the proposal.

Costs, quotes, and inclusions

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Costs, quotations and inclusions

How much does a trip to Namibia cost?

It depends on the duration, period, number of people, comfort level, activities included, transport, possible guide/accompaniment, and type of assistance required.

For this reason, it makes no sense to give a generic price without first understanding what kind of trip we are building: a self-drive with a welcome package, a private tour, a guided tour, and a tailor-made trip are not the same thing. Logistics, on-site presence, assistance, partners involved, and level of personalization change.

After the first contact, we can prepare a clear proposal, with a coherent estimate and defined services.

Why don't you always publish a fixed price?

Because Redland doesn't just sell a standard package.

Guided visits, private tours, tailor-made trips, and on-site welcome and assistance can vary greatly based on request, period, logistics, and support level.

That said, there may also be fixed-price options: special packages, launch experiences, or proposals designed for REDLAND project development.

So, are there fixed-price packages?

Yes, they can exist.

In some cases, Redland can offer packages with a fixed or indicative price: for example, guided tours, specific experiences, welcome formulas, pilot departures, or special offers related to the website launch.

These packages also serve as a first point of reference for travelers: they help to understand the price range, type of service, and level of experience.

For more personalized trips, however, the price is built upon the actual request.

What is included in the proposal?

It depends on the service requested.

Each proposal will clearly specify:

  • what is included;
  • what is not included;
  • which services are confirmed;
  • which services are subject to availability;
  • what level of assistance is provided;
  • any payment and cancellation terms.

Clarity is not an option. It's part of the service.

Are international flights included?

International flights are generally not included, unless otherwise specified.

However, we can help you consider dates, arrival, departure, and the consistency of the itinerary with your flights.

Safety and reliability

Is Namibia a safe destination?

Namibia is one of Africa's most popular destinations for nature travel, road trips and self-drives, but it requires planning, attention and respect for distances.

Safety does not mean the total absence of risk. It means preparation, common sense, a realistic itinerary, clear information and adequate support.

Is Redland Tours a registered company?

Yes. Redland operates with a presence in Namibia and a registered entity. Company references and documentation can be shared during the proposal phase, if required.

For further details, please read the Credentials & Security page.

Do you have First Aid, PDP, and driver training?

Yes, among the operational credentials considered important for Redland are First Aid, PDP / Professional Driving Permit, and NATH Level 4 training related to tour guiding in Namibia.

If a certification or training is still in progress, it must be communicated transparently. A clean truth is better than a poorly inflated promise.

Should I get travel insurance?

Yes, we always recommend comprehensive travel insurance, with medical coverage, potential medical repatriation, trip cancellation/interruption, luggage, and planned activities.

For some trips or activities, specific coverage may be required.

Self-drive, roads, and driving

Can I self-drive in Namibia?

Yes, Namibia is a very suitable self-drive destination, but it requires attention: long distances, gravel roads, animals, climate, remote areas, and proper time management.

Redland can help you with briefings, itinerary, guided days, welcome or on-site assistance.

Is 4x4 absolutely necessary?

It depends on the itinerary.

Many routes can be covered with vehicles suitable for dirt roads, but some areas, tracks, or specific conditions make a 4x4 highly recommended or necessary.

The choice of vehicle should be based on the route, not on aesthetic adventurousness.

Can you help us prepare for driving in Namibia?

Yes. We can include a practical briefing on roads, distances, fuel, timings, driving etiquette, wildlife, safety, and general organisation.

It's one of the most useful services for those who want to travel independently but with a more solid foundation.

Booking and proposal request

How can I request a proposal?

You can fill out the form or write to us directly.

The more information you give us, the better we can assist you: period, duration, number of people, type of trip, comfort level, indicative budget, any flights already booked, and main interests.

How long until I receive a response?

We aim to respond as quickly as possible with an initial assessment.

For more complex proposals, it may take longer: we prefer to build something meaningful rather than send a quick quote that is as flimsy as a poorly pitched tent.

Can I write to you even if I don't know what I want yet?

Yes. In fact, it's often the best place to start.

Tell us the period, number of people, and general idea. We'll help you figure out whether a guided tour, an organized tour, a tailor-made trip, a specialized experience, or a hybrid formula makes more sense.
